Veterans Benefits

Overview

The Office of Global and Lifelong Learning is pleased to announce that the Veterans Administration has approved our Post-Master's Certificate Programs at NYU Silver School of Social Work for training veterans and other eligible persons in accordance with the provisions of Section 3675, Title 38, U.S. Code. Admissions for the following Spring 2015 Certificate Programs is now open:

As of January 2015 licensed Social Workers in NY State will be required to obtain twelve (12) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per year in order to maintain their licensure. NYU has applied to be an approved provider and expects approval presently.

To apply to a program: If you are interested in any one program then please complete and submit the online application found on each program web page. You will be notified of acceptance soon after the application is received and reviewed.

Shultz Veteran Fellowship

The Schultz Veteran Fellowship aims to support an underserved population of Veterans and their families by developing a strong cadre of social workers with exceptional military cultural competence. Each Fellow will be provided with financial assistance and professional development support to foster their success.

Onward Veterans is a Schultz Family Foundation national initiative that empowers post-9/11 Veterans and their families in their transition to civilian life.

Onward Veterans is focused on investing in research and treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury; enhancing employment opportunities through innovative training and career placement; and facilitating access to services for Veterans and their families.
