Fees & Refund Policy 2016-2017

The full cost of this certificate program is $3,080. Because this program is divided into four course modules, applicants have the option of registering for individual modules at a cost of $880 per 20 CE module and $660 per 15 CE module. Students must complete all four modules, however, to receive the certificate of completion and CEUs. The cost of this program includes registration fee and cost of an online compendium of readings.

  • Ethics/Pain (20 CEs): $880
  • Leadership (15 CEs): $660
  • Theories (15 CEs): $660
  • Practice (20 CEs): $880
    • Total: $3,080

Available discounts include:

  • 25% discount for NYU Silver School of Social Work MSW/PhD alumni.
  • 25% discount for field instructors currently working with NYU Silver School of Social Work graduate students.
  • 15% discount for applicants who have already completed one NYU SSSW certificate program.
  • 50% discount for veterans.

Please note: discounts may not be combined.

Payment Policy:
Upon acceptance into the program, a $250 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place. This deposit is applied to the total cost of tuition. Tuition payments are broken up by semester:

  • Due in order to enroll: $250 deposit
  • Once enrolled, due upon receipt for first semester: 50% of balance
  • Due upon receipt for second semester: 50% of balance

Refund Policy

Refund Policy for early withdrawal:

The $250.00 program deposit is non-refundable.  Students that withdraw before the first class will be refunded 100% of their fees (minus the deposit).  Students that withdraw after up to and including two (2) sessions will be refunded 75% of their fees (minus the deposit).  Students who withdraw after up to and including four (4) sessions will be refunded 50% of their fees (minus the deposit).  Students who withdraw after four (4) sessions will receive no refund.
Please note: although the tuition payments are broken down into deposit, fall, and spring installments (a practice meant to create smaller, easier payments for students), the term 'sessions' refers to the entire program. Students who withdraw after four sessions, even if they have not begun the spring semester, are still required to pay their spring semester bills.
