Older Adults: Focus on New Approaches to Working with Depression

Overview:
This half-day conference will concentrate on depression and the elderly and how to best understand, reach out to, and engagement community members who experience mental health and particularly depression-related issues. The conference will concentrate on social work strategies based on current research.Participants will learn about community- and family-based models that have made a difference, and why those models have been so effective. Participants will also gain insight into the bio-psycho-social-spiritual aspects of care for individuals and families in the community context.
