Volunteer to Talk to Prospective Students

The Admissions Office at the Silver School of Social Work is the key point of contact for prospective MSW students. As a graduate, our office has many opportunities for you to connect with prospective students and share your experiences as an MSW student and a member of the NYU community. We will work with your schedule to find the right level of involvement for you, from simple phone conversations with interested students to volunteering at admissions events. Alumni can also sign up to become one of our “Social Work Champions” and help with outreach. To learn more, please e-mail us at ssw.admissions@nyu.edu.

Mentoring

The University coordinates a mentoring program and invites alumni to serve as mentors for current students interested in their particular professions.

PARTICIPATE IN AN ALUMNI PANEL

Do you want to share your professional perspective with current social work students? NYU Silver hosts monthly alumni career panels that explore the wide range of career paths open to social workers. If you are interested in participating in a panel, please fill out this form.

ALUMNI GROUPS

NYU alumni clubs are created and run by alumni volunteers who wish to reconnect with New York University and with fellow alumni in their region or through shared interests. Alumni clubs recognize the power of networking and provide the community ongoing opportunities to share experiences and traditions, and to network during events and programs.
