INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN

COURSE DESIGN/DEVELOPMENT AT SILVER

Course design is a multi-step, iterative process. For a full course design, we recommend scheduling an initial design consultation with our educational technology team at least 6 months in advance of projected course launch. Our team will collaborate with faculty to:

ADDIE

Analyze course content, learning goals/objectives, assessments, learner needs, course resources, instructional strategies, and materials.

Design a week-by-week course course outline that serves to align course learning objectives with assessments, resources, instructional strategies and course materials.

Develop the course refining learning assessments, producing multimedia content, finalizing instructional strategies, and securing course resources.

Implement the course by uploading all content to NYU Classes as well as testing usability of content once it has been uploaded.

Evaluate the course course throughout the design process, as well as during the semester, and after the conclusion of the semester.
