Using the Browse Tab

On the portal’s main page, you will see a tab labeled “Browse.” The “Browse” tab provides several options for viewing pre-existing bookings in the facilities in 1 Washington Square North. You do not need to be logged in to use the functions of the “Browse” tab.

  1. The “Browse Events” option will take you to a weekly list of all of the events that are currently booked in 1 Washington Square North for the current week. This list will include the names, times, dates, locations, and hosting departments of all events. You can sort this list by date, location, or hosting department, using the tabs at the top of the list. If you wish to view the events for a different time period, use the tabs at the top of the page.
    1. “Daily List” will list all the events for the current day; “Weekly List” will list all the events for the current week; and “Monthly List” will list all the events for the current month.

    2. “Weekly Calendar” will show a calendar view of all the events of the current week; “Monthly Calendar” will show a calendar view of all the events of the current month.

    3. You can also access this feature by clicking on the “Check Availability” button on the main page.
  2. The “Browse Facilities” option will allow you to view a list of all available rooms in 1 Washington Square North, along with all the available room setup formats and the maximum room capacity afforded by each of those room formats. You may filter this list by specific needs, such as room type (classroom, conference, or multi-purpose) or room setup type (see Room Setup Types Guide). You may also sort the list by room or by setup type using the “By Setup Type” and “By Room” tabs at the top of the list, and change the order in which the results are listed by toggling the “Room,” “Setup Type,” “Min Capacity,” or “Max Capacity” column header buttons.
  3. The “Browse for Space” option allows you to view, in a day-by-day format, which rooms are booked and when. Selecting this option will take you to a page showing a grid of rooms and times. The blue blocks on this grid signify that a room (designated by the row that it is in) is reserved for that length of time (the columns that the block spans).
  4. The “Locate Group” tab allows you to search events of the current day by the name of the hosting department. Therefore, if you know the name of the department that is hosting the event, you can use this tool to search and find the time and location that the department’s event is taking place.
