*About the Society for Clinical Social Work
Having begun her social work career later in life, Diana List Cullen actively supported and promoted new social workers until her death in 2012. The scholarship program was begun and named in her memory. The NYC Chapter solicits competition entries from all six area schools of social work, three papers each. Each school’s papers are evaluated separately from other schools, to allow for differences in curriculum.
State and local chapters of the Society uphold standards for clinical social work and hold events for ongoing clinical education and professional networking. A mentoring program for new MSWs offers expert assistance for all aspects of job searching, including settling into a new job.
The charge for each chapter event is $5; however, a one-year membership is $48.
