A 2012 graduate of NYU Silver’s Advanced Certificate in Child and Family Therapy, Yehudis Fromowitz (MSW ’08), LMSW, RPT recently earned her Registered Play Therapist credential and saw her first peer-reviewed article published in the September issue of PLAYTHERAPY, the journal of the Association for Play Therapy. Entitled "Playing with Words," her article addresses the question: "When children refuse to play with toys, can play therapists still help?" Fromowitz credits Professor Theresa Aiello, who was Co-Director of the Advanced Certificate program, with playing an important part in her professional development. Earlier, as an MSW student, she says, Professor Allison Werner-Lin and former Professor Caroline Rosenthal-Gelman inspired her to work with children and were "huge influences in starting my social work career on the path that led to this milestone."
