Of Many by Linda Mills to Show at the AFI DOCS Documentary Festival
June 12, 2014
The short documentary Of Many—directed by Linda Mills, Lisa Ellen Goldberg Professor and professor of social work, public policy, and law, with executive producer Chelsea Clinton—will have its Washington, DC-area premiere later this month at the prestigious AFI DOCS Documentary Festival.
Of Many is one of 84 documentaries to be featured at this year's festival, an event that aims to "shine a bright light on documentary film and harnesses the power of this important art form and its potential to inspire change." AFI DOCS’ mission aligns with Of Many’s vision: to spark dialogue and inspire and connect multifaith initiatives across the country and world. The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in April.
“We are honored to present Of Many in DC and at AFI DOCS,” said Mills. “It is a groundbreaking festival that brings together filmmakers and policymakers in order to advance the goal of using film as a powerful tool for generating conversations for the purpose of making a difference in the world."
