A Celebration of Kaplan Scholars from NYU Silver

June 25, 2015

If students have the capacity to do more, we must, as a society, give them access to doing more, without regard to their income.
- John Sexton, President, New York University

NYU Silver alumni and faculty are featured in a video prepared for the Kaplan Educational Foundation’s Third Annual Benefit held on Thursday, June 18, 2015. They honored the efforts of New York University’s Community College Transfer Opportunity Program (CCTOP), a scholarship and advisement program that partners NYU Silver, NYU Steinhardt, and NYU School of Professional Studies with 14 community colleges in the tri-state area to provide access to four-year college and scholarship opportunities.

The video celebrates CCTOP and highlights the accomplishments of two Kaplan Leadership Scholars from NYU – Kemone Martin, BS ’15 and Norberto Taveras, BS ’11. Clinical Associate Professor Dina Rosenfeld speaks to the benefits of the program, noting the personal support Kaplan provides the Scholars and the admiration they receive from other classmates.

The Silver community congratulates CCTOP, Kemone and Norberto on this recognition.
