2015-2016 Annual Report Now Available

October 25, 2016

Dear Friends,

I am pleased to share with you NYU Silver School of Social Work’s 2015-2016 annual report, showcasing our outstanding accomplishments over the past academic year.

As you can see, our vibrant externally-funded research portfolio continued to grow, as did enrollment in our BS, MSW and doctoral programs. I am proud that our 2015 BS graduates were nearly all employed or in graduate school one year after graduation, that our MSW graduates outperformed their peers locally and nationally on the critical social work licensing exams, and that our doctoral graduates landed prestigious honors, fellowships, and faculty appointments.

The past year saw the continued growth of our global learning opportunities, with the launch of a global MSW program at Shanghai and New York, a full semester for second-year MSW candidates at NYU Buenos Aires, and intersession courses on pressing social work issues of our time in Argentina, France, Germany, Israel, and Mexico. We also launched an executive-style DSW program in clinical social work that is preparing licensed social workers to become leaders in agencies and academic institutions. Moreover, we continued our progress in advancing social justice and diversity within the School, the profession, and society.

Thank you to everyone who generously supported NYU Silver, our students, and our successes this past year.
