Dr. Kathleen M. Wade (MSW ’84) Receives SSWLHC’s 2016 Ida M. Cannon Award

Silver School alumna Kathleen M. Wade, PhD, LMSW, ACSW received the 2016 Ida M. Cannon Award for outstanding contributions to the leadership of social work in a health care setting from the Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care (SSWLHC). The award is SSWLHC’s highest honor and pays tribute to the memory of Ms. Cannon, who organized the first social work department in an acute care medical setting. Candidates must be widely recognized leaders in the field of health care social work and demonstrate the commitment to sound social work practice and strong patient advocacy that distinguished Ms. Cannon.
