Adjunct Professor Mara Gottlieb discusses how identity, empathy, and social justice interact to affect injustice and inequality in society.

Following the lecture, students will meet in small groups to discuss the ideas presented and to translate them into social work practice.

An introduction into the integration of practice and theory within the context of the field placement experience. Students will gather in smaller groups to discuss what they can expect from field placements and where to go with questions.
