What is Silver Community Day?
Silver Community Day is a professional development day created by Graduate Student Association, Office of Career & Professional Development, and the Office of Inclusive Engagement & Student Life and supported by the Office of Field Learning and Community Partnerships to provide students with an opportunity to explore our personal and professional identities and values, gain tools to engage in difficult conversations as a developing social worker, dig into self care practices, and how to affect change and thrive in our communities.

Where will Silver Community Day be held?
Kimmel Center (60 Washington Square South)
Is Silver Community Day mandatory?
Yes-- Silver Community Day is mandatory for all MSW students in Practice I and II, 32 month students in Field III, and Undergrad Seniors. Field Supervisors have all been notified of Silver Community Day and your mandatory attendance. Please remind your supervisors that you will be at Silver Community Day and not at your field placements.
Are Monday classes cancelled?
No, Monday classes are not cancelled. However, our day is projected to end at 5:00pm so that students can make it to their Monday classes on time.
What if I cannot attend Silver Community Day?
Please notify your Faculty Advisor if you are unable to attend Silver Community Day for any reason.
Will there be food?
Yes -- a light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
