Neuropsychological Evaluations: An Introduction

Join us for an introduction on how to recommend, utilize and understand neuropsychological evaluations. This workshop will provide a brief introduction to neuropsychological assessments, exploring the measures to use and when to use them, as well as identifying specific neurocognitive domains and making recommendations for treatments in deficit areas in each domain.
Learning Objectives
- Recall, or recognition, of terms, ideas, procedure, theories, etc. – the ability to identify and define at least three domains tested through a neuropsychological evaluation
- Apply abstractions, general principles, or methods to specific concrete situations – understand how to identify an appropriate child to refer for testing
- Separation of a complex idea into its constituent parts and an understanding of organization and relationship between the parts

Briana Calcagno-Davi, PsyD
Pediatric Neuropsychology Fellow, NYU Langone
Dr. Briana Calcagno-Davi is a second year pediatric neuropsychology fellow at NYU's Child Study Center and Pediatric Diabetes Clinic. Dr. Calcagno has previously worked in different hospital systems throughout NYC, including Cornell's neurosurgery division, Northwell's neurological rehabilitation unit and Columbia's epilepsy and genetic units. She has contributed to both local and national research projects, lectured at conferences around the country and internationally, practiced in the New Jersey elementary school system and been teaching at the undergraduate level for five years.

- Refund requests made on or before October 6 (by midnight): 50% refund
- Refund requests made on or after October 7: no refund
