The recorded presentation will be viewable online from a computer via streaming video. Once your registration and payment is received, a link will be forwarded for access to the video and instructions for taking a post-test. All online continuing education programs require completion of a post-test and evaluation for receipt of credits.
This training will examine ways to help families who are facing stressful situations. In addition to exploring systemic factors, solution-focused approaches will assist clinicians in navigating challenging family situations. Content will also provide clinicians with key recommendations for supporting families and methods of enhancing resilience.
Learning Objectives
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify at least three key clinical considerations when working with families.
- Describe methods of enhancing resilience, strengths, and solutions with families.
- Explain at least two methods of therapeutic interventions with families that aid in building resilience individually and collectively.
Presenter
Diane Bigler, LCSW, LSCSW
Diane Bigler, LCSW, LSCSW is a former DBT certified therapist with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked with youth and their families for several years, including in residential settings, in-home therapy, and outpatient settings.

55 jurisdictions accept ACE-approved provider CE contact hours. ACE is not an approved Continuing Education provider in the states of New York (though NYU Silver is NYSED CE approved in NYS) and West Virginia, unless the event is outside of West VA. ACE only approves individual courses in New Jersey, though NYU Silver is CSWE-accredited and therefore accepted for licensed NJ professionals.
