Climate Support FAQ

Students, faculty, and staff who have experienced harm as a result of bias, discrimination, harassment, and/or retailiation can report their experience to the Silver Climate Support Team. We encourage all members of the Silver community to reach out for support.

Our Silver Climate Support Team members are available to meet with students, faculty, and staff to discuss your experience, provide guidance on using the NYU Bias Response Line, and to help guide you through procedures, available resources, and a resolution plan. Our Silver Peer Advocates are also available to help you navigate this journey. You belong; you matter; and we care.

While the Silver Climate Support Team and Peer Advocates will honor the privacy considerations of the situation shared with us, please note that the information you provide is not confidential and may need to be shared with other campus officers.

The Silver Climate Advisory Group monitors bias patterns, reviews policies and procedures, and makes recommendations to improve the overall climate at Silver through intentional practices that ensure responsiveness, transparency, and accountability. The advisory group works in collaboration with the NYU Office of Global Inclusion (OGI), NYU Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO), and NYU Wellness Center.

If you have experienced or have witnessed harm due to identity-based bias, discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation, you should contact the Bias Response Line where you will be able to submit reports without providing identifying information.

If you have experienced or have witnessed harm due to identity-based bias, discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation off-campus, you can contact the Silver Climate Support Team, as well as report your experience to the Bias Response Line.

We welcome any and all suggestions or recommendations on how we can improve our Silver Climate Support Program. Please feel free to contact us at silveraction.climate@nyu.edu with your feedback.
