Our Year-End Message for 2023

As 2023 draws to a close, the Silver community celebrates the passion, innovative spirit and commitment to social good that drove us forward.

We also cherish the connections that bind us to one another and our wider communities.

The bonds between us were at the heart of “Threads of Loving,” our Fall 2023 Student Art Exhibition.

The exhibition featured works by 25 social work students that explored love and connection at the interpersonal, communal, and systemic levels. See selections in the video above and more in the gallery below.

We are grateful to lead curator Sadie Zuch, MSW ’24, and her collaborators, co-curators Anna Vernon, MSW ’24, and Nina Sasakawa, BS ’24, as well as to all of our talented artists.

Art can be cathartic for both those who make it and those who experience it.

We hope these images of our students’ creative expression will inspire reflection.

May they also bring you joy and healing as we enter the new year.
