Advanced Standing Program

Graduates of a Council on Social Work Education-accredited undergraduate social work program within the past five years may apply for admission into the specialized practice year (second year) of the two-year program. The period of study for this option is two semesters: fall-spring, including 600 hours of field instruction. Students remain in the same cohort for Practice III and Practice IV. Study during the summer term is not required. Advanced Standing students have the option of taking Diversity, Racism, Oppression, and Privilege as one of their two electives. If you wish to do so, speak to your Academic Advisor about it.
