Newly Admitted Students
Now that you’ve been admitted to NYU Silver, we hope that you will spend some time getting to know us and learn what makes us special.
Accepted Student Events
Learn more about our MSW curriculum, student life, financial aid and scholarships from faculty, current students and admissions counselors. These events will allow you to get more details about what makes an NYU Silver education special and valuable.
Please Note: as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have canceled or put on hold all in-person drop-in hours, in-person events, and graduate campus tours. Until further notice, all events will be virtual. We hope you’ll connect with us via email or schedule an virtual appointment online.
Upcoming Virtual Events
Do you wish to observe a class at NYU Silver to experience our close-knit community, rigorous coursework, and meet current MSW students and faculty? If so, please complete this form and allow us two weeks to place you into a class. Please note that only accepted students are given this opportunity and you are limited to one class observation.
Note: Classroom observations are offered during the fall and spring semesters only.
Connect with an Admissions Ambassador/Champion
In an effort to create dialogue between current and future students and build on our identity as an intimate educational institution within NYU, the Silver School has an ambassador program known as the “Silver Champions.” If you are interested in getting in touch with a current student, complete our matching tool.
NYU Campus Tours
As noted above, in-person campus tours are suspended, but you can participate in a "live" virtual tour narrated by a current NYU graduate student. Another option is to access our 3-D virtual campus tours where you can explore the Washington Square Campus and hear an audio narration from an NYU graduate student tour guide. Finally, you may want to watch a video of the Washington Square Campus. Although the video is geared toward prospective undergraduate students, it is worthwhile so you can envision what our NYC campus looks like.
NYU offers walking tours of our Washington Square, New York City campus specifically for prospective graduate students. Learn about the many schools, colleges, centers, and institutes that make up the university and get a glimpse of what life is like for our students.
Tours take place on most Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You may register for a campus tour here. Please note that registration is required.
POSTPONED ‒ Before or after the tour you are invited to speak with an admissions counselor during our drop-in advisement hours held on Fridays from 11:00am - 2:00pm in the Admissions Office (1st floor) at the Silver School of Social Work building. If you wish to meet with an admissions counselor on another day, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an appointment. In-person meetings are presently suspended and will be held virtually.
