Current Research and Evidence-Based Practice Inform all of our Certificate Programs

Ranging from 14-56 hours each, our post-master’s and post-bachelor’s certificate programs give professionals the knowledge to enhance their treatment strategies and improve their approaches and skills when dealing with complicated cases, supervisory challenges, or leadership development. They require comprehensive journal and text reading, engagement in discussion, and debate about the issues and application. All post-master’s programs are NYSED accredited for licensed social workers and licensed mental health counselors.

This program reminded me of the importance of investing in myself and taking the time to participate in a learning environment that will help prepare me for the next steps in my career.

New for Spring 2024: Online Post-Graduate Certificate in Crisis Counseling

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, a growing number of Americans have experienced high levels of psychological distress, putting increasing pressure on crisis counselors, first responders, direct support professionals, and other frontline mental and behavioral health care providers to address mental health needs. NYU Silver developed this crisis counseling certificate program specifically for frontline workers to give you the skills and confidence to better serve people in urgent need of support.

Attending the Zelda Foster Studies Certificate Program in Palliative and End-of-Life Care has been one of my most rewarding experiences as a social worker. Beyond a certificate, I found a community. I truly recommend it for people interested in working with people with chronic illnesses and end-of-life needs.
