Program Benefits
Program Overview
The Hybrid Master of Social Work (MSW) from the globally renowned NYU Silver School of Social Work equips students with the critical thinking skills and research-informed knowledge to work directly with individuals, groups, and families.
This part-time program, designed for professionals working in social services, features a combination of online and in-person learning. The program can be completed in three and a half years on a part-time schedule, with flexibility to accommodate your professional and personal life.
NYU Silver provides a hybrid program that transcends a traditional online Master of Social Work. Students learn from not only the faculty but also from their competent, experienced peers during in-person and online discussions. The program also emphasizes experience-based learning: students will complete in-person practicum hours with their employer, meeting the minimum practicum requirements for LMSW licensure in the state of New York.
NYU Silver’s Master of Social Work program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE) Board of Accreditation (BOA).
“Our Hybrid MSW is a strong clinical program based in research and practice. In addition, students have the advantage of attending a world-renowned, international school with a great deal of resources that they can access.”
Nicholas Lanzieri, Clinical Associate Professor, NYU Silver School of Social Work
