National Academies of Practice (NAP) Names Professor Judith Siegel Distinguished Scholar and Fellow
The National Academies of Practice (NAP) named Silver School Professor Judith Siegel, PhD, LCSW as a Distinguished Scholar and Fellow. NAP is an interdisciplinary non-profit organization with members representing 14 health care professions*. Influential health policy makers rely on the expert counsel of NAP members.
Membership in the NAP is an honor extended to those who have excelled in their profession and are dedicated to furthering practice, scholarship, and policy in support of inter-professional care.
"It is an honor to join the National Academies of Practice," said Dr. Siegel. "I have been passionate about delivering integrated care since completing my dissertation, and I look forward to working with my fellow members to promote excellence in integrated health and mental care practice."
In 2014, Dr. Siegel led the team that was awarded a grant in Integrated Behavioral Youth from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), has served as Co-Director of the project, overseeing a specialized curriculum that prepares Silver School students to work with high-risk youth from an integrated and trauma-informed perspective.
