NYU Silver Associate Professor and PhD Program Director Victoria Stanhope has been appointed as an Associate Editor of the journal Administration and Policy in Mental Health and Mental Health Services Research (APMH). In her new position, which is effective September 1, 2021, Dr. Stanhope will oversee submissions using qualitative and mixed methods.
An experienced qualitative and mixed methods researcher, Dr. Stanhope’s professional interests are in mental health services research and policy with a specialization in recovery, person-centered care, and primary and behavioral healthcare integration. Her research, which has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, has focused on provider-consumer relationships and how they impact the implementation of evidence-based practices, service engagement, and client outcomes. She is widely published in high-impact journals, including APMH, and has done extensive editorial service. She is currently Co-President of the Affilia Corporate Board and is on the Editorial Board of Social Work in Health Care. She was previously a Consulting Editor for the journal Social Work and has been a manuscript reviewer for more than two-dozen publications, including APMH, American Journal of Orthopsychiatry, Psychiatric Services, Qualitative Health Services Research, and Qualitative Social Work.
