The award was presented by Alex–Ann Espeut, Managing Director of Career and Education Services and one of 14 employees of The Door currently earning their degrees at NYU Silver.
“An incredible partnership between our two organizations has enabled staff members of The Door to join the inaugural cohort of our new Hybrid MSW pathway, created for professionals with prior direct social service experience, at a significantly reduced cost,” Dean Lindsey explained. Other members of the cohort in attendance included Ted Caine, The Door’s Chief of Staff and Shavaughn Stewart, the Director of Foster Care and Supportive Services. Dean Lindsey noted that all of the Door’s Hybrid MSW students are following in the footsteps of The Door and Broome Street Academy’s Chief Executive Officer Kelsey Louie, MSW ’01.
