International Students
Additional Admissions Requirements
For international students applying to the DSW program, there are further requirements in addition to the general admissions requirements.
If English is not your native language, you must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam. Applicants who have earned a degree from an institution where the language of instruction is exclusively English, regardless of country, are exempt from submitting a TOEFL score. General Requirements apply.
All international academic records must be submitted with official translation to English or a notarized translation to English via WES. Official translation must be included along with official transcripts from international institutions. All applicants with international credentials are required to include a professional evaluation of the degree to determine if it is equivalent to the US master’s degree. We accept foreign credentials evaluated by WES. Applicants with such credentials should file their applications well in advance of the term for which they are applying.
Minimum scores for the TOEFL are:
- Paper based (PBT): 580
- Computer based (CBT): 237
- Internet based (IBT): 92-93
- Our TOEFL code is 2506. We will accept an unofficial score until the official one arrives.
Visa Eligibility for International Students:
The DSW program is offered as a part-time, on-campus course of study. Full-time and/or fully on-line coursework is not offered. Please note that part-time study does not provide student visa eligibility. Applicants are responsible for determining whether they have the necessary visa eligibility to apply for admission to the DSW Program. Information about U.S. visas may be found on the U.S. Department of State website.
