NYU Silver Tuition Scholarships
Automatic consideration is given to all accepted students for our merit-based tuition scholarships, provided that you click “yes” on the scholarship question in the admissions application. Due to the high caliber of the students we accept, more than 95% receive some amount of tuition scholarship funding.
For MSW students pursuing full-time pathways (Two-Year, 16-Month, and Advanced Standing), awards range from $7,000–15,000 per academic year unless you have participated in a national service organization that we have agreements with to recognize service, you can see the guaranteed minimum Silver Tuition Scholarship ranges listed below. The Silver Tuition Scholarship is based primarily on the strength of a student's application and includes the Rosen Scholarship, Dean's Scholarship, and Founders Fellows. Enrollment in Practicum Education and Social Work Practice are required to receive the scholarship.
Students pursuing our Extended pathway receive a $2,000 award when they are first enrolled in classes; the award increases to $6,000 when they are enrolled in both classes and Practicum Education. Students in our 32-Month pathway receive a 25% discount each semester they are enrolled.
As noted above, a separate application is not required for this scholarship.
Non-Matriculating students are ineligible for NYU Silver Tuition Scholarships; however, those who work full-time at a qualifying social work agency may apply for a Silver Discounted Tuition Reimbursement.
