Office for Research
The Office for Research (OFR) facilitates the conduct of research by Silver faculty, fosters skill development, and helps disseminate the findings and new knowledge resulting from important and impactful scientific research conducted by Silver faculty.
The OFR team is led by Marya Gwadz, PhD, Associate Dean for Research, Nicholas Reed, Director of Research Administration, Maggie Chen, Senior Grants Specialist, and Helen Flaherty, Grants Administrator. The office can be contacted at the following email address: silver.ofr@nyu.edu.

Educational Technology Services
Silver's Educational Technology team supports faculty with strategies and skill development for using technology in the classroom, integrating technology and learning design, and leveraging technology to address teaching and learning challenges.
The team is directed by Henry Samelson, Associate Director of Educational Technology at NYU Silver School of Social Work. Henry holds an M.A. in Digital Media Design for Learning/Games for Learning from NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.

The PhD Program is thrilled to announce our newly established partnership with Instats. Instats is designed to support professional development in the fields of statistics, data science, and artificial intelligence. We are delighted that NYU community members will receive a 30% discount upon registering for training sessions via Instats, when you use your NYU email address to register. Instats has a plethora of valuable statistical training programs available on their website including elaborate training sessions on multilevel modeling. As a recently established partner with the American Statistical Association which is the hub of professional organization for statistics, we believe that Instats will aid in the scholarship and research of social work researchers and students alike.
